2015 Sustainability Report

Stronger together

Together we can achieve more – and this also holds true in terms of sustainability. Therefore, we have joined a number of initiatives, associations and organizations.

Involvement in associations and initiatives

Our products’ manufacturing should be as environmentally friendly and as socially sustainable as possible. The majority of our products are manufactured in the supply chain where we, at times, have very little influence with regard to actions taken. Only by working together with other outdoor and textile manufacturers, and in association with strong initiatives, can we really achieve anything. Therefore, we have voluntarily joined several organizations.

In addition to involvement in various initiatives, VAUDE is also a member of a number of associations and clubs. We hold an executive position in numerous associations while we participate in projects or work in joint ventures with many others. However, we make no financial resources available far beyond the usual membership fees for any association or club.

The following table provides an overview of the initiatives, charters and principles that guide our work.

GRI:   G4-15
List externally developed economic, environmental and social charters, principles, or other initiatives to which the organization subscribes or which it endorses.
GRI:   G4-16
List memberships of associations (such as industry associations) and national or international advocacy organizations in which the organization: ŸŸHolds a position on the governance body ŸŸParticipates in projects or committees ŸŸProvides substantive funding beyond routine membership dues ŸŸViews membership as strategic This refers primarily to memberships maintained at the organizational level.
