The blue and olive areas are litter meadows, the yellow dot shows land species, moors are hatched diagonally and nature conservation areas are outlined in red and green.

According to the 2002 biotope mapping of the Tannau valley, compensatory measures for construction areas are primarily carried out in the biodiversity "hot spots" identified there. In the case of VAUDE, this also includes the Obereisenbacher Weiher, where a project is underway to restore hillside springs and litter meadows as a compensatory measure for our construction work.

High Biodiversity Potential in the Vicinity of the VAUDE Site

Tettnang-Obereisenbach is located in the natural transition area between the Lake Constance basin and the West Allgäu hills. With 83 target species (animals), the municipal area has a very high species potential that is above average for Baden-Württemberg municipalities.

13 species are classified as category A national species, i.e. they are generally threatened with extinction nationwide. Where these species still occur, they are mostly isolated, predominantly unstable or acutely endangered. Species conservation measures are needed immediately to preserve them. The majority of the species in this category that occur in the municipality of Tettnang-Obereisenbach are found in small areas of semi-natural moorland that are currently still maintained as litter meadows. Four endangered species on the company premises

Four of the 13 species particularly worthy of protection in Baden-Württemberg live on the VAUDE company premises:

Golden fritillary (Euphydryas aurinia)
Healing Creeping Fritillary (Carcharodus floccifera)
Pale meadow blue (Maculinea teleius)
Four-toothed napper (Vertigo geyeri)

These species require near-natural moors as habitats, such as those still maintained as litter meadows in small areas in the Tettnang-Obereisenbach region.
