Since 2011, we have taken on a voluntary commitment for all purchases of supplies for our Tettnang-Obereisenbach site. We want to use our influence as a purchaser in order to support companies, which - like VAUDE - represent sustainability as a corporate philosophy.
Therefore, we place great importance on purchasing and using products that are as environmentally friendly as possible including office supplies, cleaning products, furniture and everything else we need for our business operations at VAUDE.

At our Tettnang-Obereisenbach location, a total of about 55 tons of paper is consumed, 99 percent of which is recycled paper. The percentage of recycled paper is thus 52.5 percent higher than last year. The bulk of this increase came from sales documents such as the order books for retailers. The rest includes printer and copier paper, training documents, business cards and the like.
The savings in mixed paper are due to reducing the amount of printed promotional materials – the order books in particular.
Our voluntary commitment is reflected to the best current knowledge in each individual division, sometimes with advice from experts such as the WWF. We are continuing to develop this commitment: we assimilate additional divisions and supplement or change content when new evidence is presented.
By doing so, we want to send a clear signal that we are meeting our social and environmental responsibilities in all areas of our business activities.
