All sustainability standards and certificates at a glance

VAUDE is committed to responsibility along the entire life cycle of our products. In order to achieve this, we work with recognized standards and certificates for each stage in the supply chain, including materials and delivery companies, VAUDE itself and the finished products as well.

Here is a list of the standards and certificates for VAUDE and/or its products:

VAUDE is certified in accordance with the following standards:

  • Green Button - The Green Button is the German federal government's first state-sponsored seal for sustainable textiles with socially fair and environmentally friendly production. You can find our certification and more information here.
  • EMAS – The EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme is a premium management instrument developed by the European Commission for companies and other organizations to evaluate, report, and improve their environmental performance. You can find our EMAS certificate and more information here

  • Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) – GOTS is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain. VAUDE itself and many of our products are certified in accordance with the Global Organic Textile Standard. You can find the certificate here
  • Global Recycled Standard (GRS) – The GRS is a voluntary product standard for tracking and verifying the content of recycled materials in a final product. The standard applies to the full supply chain and addresses traceability, environmental principles, social requirements, chemical content and labeling. We are working to certify more and more of our suppliers and products with the independent recycling standard GRS. VAUDE as a company is also already certified. More about this here
  • Responsible Down Standard (RDS) – The Responsible Down Standard (RDS) aims to ensure that down and feathers come from animals that have not been subjected to any unnecessary harm. We use only downs (both recycled and virgin) from well-treated animals that have been certified by this independent standard. More information here
  • Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) – VAUDE is working to become one of the first outdoor brands to launch RWS-certified products. The first milestone has already been reached and VAUDE itself is RWS certified. You can find our RWS certificate here
