GHG emissions are generated everywhere that energy is used. In 2013, VAUDE generated 687.93 metric tons of CO2e gross direct GHG emissions (Scope 1); in Scope 3, 3,291 tons of CO2e were generated. The table on this page shows how these emissions were generated. We used the following principals in our calculations.

These include the materials needed for production at the company headquarters in Tettnang, where primarily bags are produced. For our climate-neutral production, we compensate for unavoidable CO2 emissions with payments to myclimate that finance projects to reduce CO2 emissions.
