VAUDE as an employer

VAUDE’s understanding of values also determines the working environment - a culture of appreciation and trust, in which the balance of work and private life has great importance.

Social responsibility starts at home

For us, corporate social responsibility (CSR) means that we want to take corporate responsibility for people, society and nature. We take this very seriously: in the basic strategic direction of our company and in our daily work.

We accept social responsibility for the people who manufacture our products, for our customers who deserve high quality products, and of course for our employees here at our headquarters in Tettnang-Obereisenbach

Living Culture of Trust

We are convinced that we all share a passion for sustainability in practice. Therefore, we can trust our employees to be motivated and committed to working with us to attain our goal - economic success with environmentally friendly, socially responsible products.

We believe that people enjoy performing to their best, provided that the work environment is right. Therefore we create a climate of mutual trust and appreciation in our company - see "culture of values and trust" - and invest heavily in employee satisfaction - see "Satisfied employees are motivated".

Incentives for employees

This commitment to a good working atmosphere also has economic reasons: for the complex processes in the outdoor industry, we need highly qualified personnel, and in part also employees who are highly specialized as well. Keeping good employees in the company is crucial to our competitiveness

Therefore, in addition to respectful working environment, we also offer a variety of tangible incentives. For example, almost all of our employees have open-ended contracts to give them job security and show them more attention and appreciation. Options that help with the balance of work and family are of particular importance see "Familienunternehmen im besten Sinn“.

In-house child care

In the family business VAUDE, we see ourselves as a "big family", which is only possible in a culture of trust. This also means that we have an understanding of the personal circumstances of our employees. With flexible working hours and home-office days, we try to facilitate the balance of work and private life.

A particularly important point in the balance between work and family is child care. Especially in our rural, somewhat secluded area, there are few child care facilities. Therefore, we have founded the VAUDE Kinderhaus where children between 6 months and ten years enrolled in a crèche group or mixed-age group for after school care - see „Create added value through commitment“ and „VAUDE Kinderhaus - unser Betriebskindergarten“. The VAUDE Kinderhaus is open to all children in the area.t.
