GRI-G4-Index for the VAUDE Sustainability Report

This report about our economic, ecological and social performance is based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 Guidelines and meets the requirements of the G4 Core Option.

Data for the external verification

We want to objectively and transparently present the success of our sustainability strategythe examination of our data by independent third parties is therefore very important to us.

The environmental data from our location in Tettnang-Obereisenbach is verified by the EMAS Institute and ISO 14001, More about it in the EMAS Index. myclimate calculates the emissions that we produce. This information can be found in the GRI-Index.

The information on social conditions in our production facilities was collected by the Fair Wear Foundation in audits. More about in the FWF-Index.

Our financial statements are audited by the statutory requirements of the independent auditing company GmbH Schnetz, Buchmann, Michele Ravensburg.

KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft provided limited assurance on selected sustainability information for the first two report years, 2013 and 2014. For the 2015 report, we used the same guidelines and criteria, but did not carry out an external verification.

G4-EC5	A Livable Wage	Information about the standard starting salary for each department of our producers is not available. Therefore we use the wages developed by the FWF "Wage Ladder" to represent wages. In the FWF Wage Ladders, 3 wage distinctions are made in each production division (management and staff are not reported): the lowest wage paid in the department, the highest wage paid, and most common wage paid. For our analysis we use the most common wage paid. Taking into account the number of workers per department, we then calculate the "average" per producer.
