VAUDE is traditionally known for its durable products. This is sometimes jokingly referred to as a market disadvantage, simply because no one is going to buy a new product when the old “favorites” still work perfectly well and look great, after 10 or even 20 years of use.

VAUDE offers a two-year warranty on all products and is liable for defects; for the Made in Germany Collection this guarantee is even voluntarily extended to 5 years. But of course, our products last much longer when cared for properly.
If a product should break, it doesn’t mean that the end of the product’s life is sealed.
VAUDE’s repair service repairs small and larger damages, exchanges defective parts and extends the life cycle of VAUDE items and so they can continue to be our customers’ “favorites”.
You can read here about how many VAUDE products are repaired each year, how many are donated to nonprofits or sold as grade B products. These range from the replacement of defective zippers, repairing tears, shoulder straps, defective eyelets and snaps to complex repairs such as tent floors, poles etc. Our repair service’s competent team has helped many customers. We are also working closely with the design and product management teams to ensure product’s ability to be repaired.
