The best-written mobility concept doesn’t save emissions – it has to be put into practice and filled with life. VAUDE has introduced a Mobility Lottery to motivate as many employees as possible to leave their cars at home.
Each week our trainees give away a weekly prize to one of our employees who didn’t commute alone by car. In order to be eligible, employees have to use eco-friendly transport for their commute and then sign up on a simple Excel list in the VAUDE intranet. This list also serves to measure the distance spent commuting other than in one’s own car.
Our employees can enjoy winning prizes such as restaurant coupons, vegetarian cookbooks, bike accessories and even electricity meters for their home use. And this ensures that “environmentally friendly and cost saving commuting” is a favorite topic of conversation in our hallways.
Our goal is to continue to reduce emissions arising from commuting. The outstanding balance of emissions is offset by a myclimate project and are therefore counted as climate neutral in our CO2 carbon footprint – see also "Climate neutral at our headquarters in Obereisenbach".
