Saving energy as a top priority

At our Tettnang location, VAUDE has continuously reduced its energy consumption and its energy comes exclusively from renewable sources.

Energy consumption at the VAUDE company headquarters

The total energy consumption at the VAUDE company headquarters in 2014 was 3,512,956 kWh.

Disproportionate increase in energy consumption

At our VAUDE-Straße 2 location, energy consumption compared to the base year 2008 increased by 25 percent. However, since the number of employees increased by 45 percent and the amount of produced goods at the site by 199 percent over the same period, this means a significant disproportionately smaller increase. We attribute this to the successful implementation of our energy management measures.

24 percent increase in production, one percent increase in energy

Compared to the previous year, the total energy consumption increased by one percent. The number of employees rose seven percent compared to 2013, and the amount of goods produced at the site has increased by 24 percent compared to 2013.

Heating with bio-gas

Since October 2013 VAUDE has used bio-gas exclusively, which is produced from 100 percent waste from the production of sugar from sugar beets. The share of renewable energies in gas consumption in 2014 was therefore 100 percent - see "Heating with Bio-Gas".
