This report about our economic, ecological and social performance is based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G4 Guidelines and meets the requirements of the G4 Core Option.

Details relating to the external assurance

We are objectively and measurably Europe's most sustainable outdoor outfitter; The examination of our data by independent third parties is therefore very important to us.

The examination is carried out by various partners:


  1. The environmental data from our location in Tettnang-Obereisenbach are verified by the EMAS Institute, or calculated by myclimate. More about it in the EMAS Index.
  2. The information on social conditions in our production facilities was collected by the Fair Wear Foundation in audits. More about in the FWF-Index.
  3. The KPMG AG auditing firm verifies the basic reporting process with the standard disclosures for the report and the organization, the aspects and indicators relating to working conditions and the environment at the site and aspects and indicators on compliance, policy and product safety. Indicators and standard data are marked with limited assurance* in the GRI Index.

Fair wages

The FWF Wage Ladder takes into account three wages per department (i.e. Management and Staff are not detailed): the maximum, mode and minimum wage. For our audit and evaluation, we use the wage that is most frequently paid (mode). We then use the number of employees per department to reach an “average” per supplier.
